I cannot for the life of me recall who handed this to me one Monday evening, but I find it amusing enough to add to the line up of song lyrics.\u00a0 It is sung to the tune of The Wild Rover \u2013 This is a good example of the \u201cPlastic Paddy\u201d sub-genre of traditional songs and amusing enough that it deserves its place in the bar scene.<\/p>\n

\nAnd I managed to do that without falling down.
\nThe barman said, \u201cSir, please choose from this list,
\n\u201cAnd I\u2019m sorry if just now I thought you were pissed.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nLike whiskey and punch and Pernods and ports.
\nCut down on the volume and all that I drink,
\nThen at least when I throw up I won\u2019t block the sink.<\/p>\n
\nAnd if she should hit me I won\u2019t turn and run.
\nI\u2019ll promise to give up; but if I should fail,
\nI\u2019ll meet you next Monday for ten pints of ale!<\/p>\n
