Let The Good Times Ring

A song composed by our very dear friend and founding member of the Jovial Crew Howard Hornstein and published in his book “Favorite Sea Songs of the Ancient Mariners Chanteymen“. Cliff has performed this in the past but recently he has decided to dust it off and add it to our repertoire.

Let the Good Times Ring

by Howard Hornstein

In brotherhood returning, like family once more.
Loyal hearts forever burning, more happy times in store.
So we let our spirits fly, lift our voices up to sing.
And then we raise our glasses high, and let the good times ring.

The vagrant on the corner, the wealthiest of kings,
All search for pride and honor, the joy that loving brings.
Precious days go rushing by, whether pain or joy they bring.
Solet us raise our glasses high, and let the good times ring.

Let’s celebrate together the great good times we made,
In brotherhood and friendship, the music that we played.
And before our time is nigh, teach our children how to sing,
So they may raise their glasses high, and let the good times ring.
