Parade Day Weekend

The season is upon us… This Sunday we’ll be at Cafe Nine in New Haven during their “Parade Day” which is to say their St-Patrick’s Day parade.  We’ll be playing from 4 – 7p… A great way to see us closer to your home if you travel from that direction!

Then we will NOT be at the Gris on the following day Monday the 13th (horrors!!!)  We’ve traded with the regular Friday night band in order that we play on St-Pat’s Day at the Gris… We’ll be in the Covered Bridge Room from 8:00 to 11/11:30p.  Make your dinner reservations now! 860.767.1776

Danny Spooner

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend Danny Spooner.  Please visit the memorial page for brother Danny to learn, hear, see more about him.

A Sailor’s Valentine

Valentine’s Day will be the very day after our Monday show… So come on down and express your romantical side!  Wear something sweet, sing to your sweetie, show us some love!

We Want Beer!

Into the warming up weeks until St-Pat’s… Get your dinner reservations in early!  860.767.1776

Meanwhile, every Monday we stage our protest against Prohibition by raising our glasses of ale and beer and singing “Drink Good Ale!”  Come join the movement!

Groundhog Day!!

What… again???

Groundhog-Playing-a-Saxophone--91969By the time you appear in town for the Gris, Essex Edwina should be at her post at the town’s “silent policeman” and you’ll pass her as you make your way down to join us for another installment in our Sea Music evenings.  The parade will have already happened and hopefully she’ll still be there.  But we’ll be there, at least in part, and if you’re in town come down a pint or two and join us!

A relic from antiquity
For Christmastide and St-Patrick’s spray
For Mother’s and for Groundhog Day

Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Festive Festivus…

A JOYOUS holiday season to every one of you!  We WILL be at our regular Gris show on Monday the 26th and we will celebrate our holiday then.  Come dressed for the occasion, wear that ugly sweater you have nowhere else to show, come raise a glass with us!  This year has been less than stellar so let’s cheer it away with hopes for a better one!
