We’re celebrating our Christmas on Monday the 26th – St-Stephen’s Day for those in the know; Boxing Day for everyone else.  But Monday the 19th is still our regular show… Just starting a tad later to give room to the wandering carolers spreading Christmas cheer to the diners!  Looking forward to seeing you!

Saturday night, from 9 to midnight, we will be playing our New Haven venue of the Gryphon Pub at GPSCY – part of the Yale Campus, New Haven.  This will be a good place for our New York fan base (and there’s a LOT of you!) to come see us without doing the whole drive to Essex, CT!  Cash only bar but a delicious array of beer and such for you to imbibe as you join us in song!

On Monday the 5th, come on down to wish and sing Cliff a most happy of birthdays!

We’ve had an interesting year!  But you can always escape to our weekly Brigadoon!  Last night was not too crowded and even those regulars who did make it told me they LOVED being there for a calmer, more melodious evening!

Now that we’re in December, each Monday will start at 8:30 rather than 8p… It is the time of the annual wandering Christmas minstrels.  We WILL be there on Monday the 26th, which will be our Christmas.

HOWEVER, we’ll be at the GPSCY on Saturday the 10th from 9 to midnight!  Come on down and show New Haven what you and we can do together!!

And thank you to Marc Bernier… The man blasted the room and will come back on down the first Monday of this month.

Halloween – 2016

Monday – 31st of October – will be our Jovial Crew Halloween night!  Always the best way to raise your spirits!!  It would be horrible should you attend without proper attire so come properly costumed!  SPREAD THE WORD!!!   ALSO – The Essex Halloween parade of little ghouls will start about sundown… Main Street will be shut down during this time for about half an hour or so – plan accordingly!  I think it quite the fun so come down early to see it before joining us in the taproom!

It’s so rare these days that we have a less crazy night as so be able to not only sing some of the songs we love but are too quiet for a crowded bar, but also that the room entirely sings along as though we were facing a choir… Last night was one of those occasions and we completely enjoyed it!  And Cliff pulled out a song he wrote some 20 yrs ago to the tune of Grey Funnel Line, with amended verses for the current scene…

It’s Monday night at the ol’ Griswold Inn!

While Rick will mark another birthday at the end of this week, and we would celebrate that the following Monday, the man will be away that very Gris night and SO we shall recognize his annual on tomorrow night!  Come down and see it for yourself!
